Expect to see vehicle costs going up (by about $2,000 per car) if these fuel economy regulations go into effect by 2025. Oh, and expect to see a LOT more synthetic motor oil (0W-20, anyone?) in your future as automakers strive to eke every iota of fuel mileage they can out of their engines.
